Formerly of Newport. Passed away August 13 surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. Preceded in death by his father Larrie in Feb. 2011. Survived by his mother Gloria: brothers and sister Robert (Michelle), Patricia (Robert) White, Michael (Lynn Miller), Scott; nieces & nephews Bobby, Jenny, Tony, Jessica, Jesse Dean, Jake, Sam and Lily; and many other family and friends. Al worked for the US Postal Service as a rural carrier for many years. He was a genuinely good man who will be missed by all who knew him. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am Thursday, August 18, 2011, at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH 920 Holley Ave. St. Paul Park, MN. Visitation Wednesday August 17, 2011 from 5-8 pm at Kok Funeral Home 1201 Portland Ave. St. Paul Park, MN and also 10-11 am prior to the mass at the church. Interment Newport Cemetery.
