Audrey Schafer

Audrey Mae Schafer, age 90 of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.

Audrey is survived by her husband of 71 years, James Sr. and her 3 children: James Jr (Patty), Raymond (Kimberly), and Julie (Robin). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Raymond (Beth), Nicole (Jason), Daniel (Holly), Kalli, Gracie, Charlie, Ellie, Sam, and Ava; and 13 great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Aubree, Jaxon, Jace, Payton, Tristan, Bentley, Landon, Kaine, Vincent, Elena, Addison, and baby Skylar on the way.

Audrey will be remembered and cherished by her family and friends as a hard-worker and compassionate woman. Giving was her greatest joy. She gave with all her heart. She spent countless hours cooking and baking for family and friends. In addition, she enjoyed bowling, bingo, playing cards, and winning at the casino.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am, Thursday, July 28, 2022 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (920 Holley Ave, St. Paul Park, MN) with visitation beginning at 9:30am. A visitation will also be held at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th St S, Cottage Grove, MN) on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 5pm-8pm.
