Benora "Bennie" Arlene Krueger

Benora "Bennie" Krueger, age 91, of Cottage Grove passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

Bennie was born February 22, 1935, in Norway Township (Rushford), Minnesota. She was a Houston, MN high school graduate. Shortly after high school she moved to Minneapolis and worked at Honeywell. She married Jim Krueger in 1958 and together they welcomed five children. She was a long-term employee of South Washington County Schools, a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and a member of the Pine Ridge Garden Club.

Bennie is survived by her children, Mary Chris (Patricia Steinhauer), Katie, Anne (Greg) Lindgren, Jim (Corinne), Dan; grandchildren, Melissa (Jason), Greg, Alexandra (Ross), and Cullen; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law; Charlotte Ann, Betty, and Shirley; as well as other extended family and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, Jim; siblings; Betty, Myra, Mary, and Kathryn; and daughter-in-law Donna Dakin.

Celebration of Life will be at 12 PM Wednesday, September 2nd with a visitation beginning at 10 AM at Kok Funeral Home 7676 80th Street S Cottage Grove, Minnesota. A private interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to Zion Lutheran Church, Cottage Grove or Animal Humane Society (Golden Valley). The family would like to thank the staff at Regions Hospital, St Paul for their outstanding care of Bennie and her family.
