Bonita “Bonnie” Marie Gertrude Fink

A loving wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma. Age 83 of Cottage Grove passed away peacefully on September 14, 2021 at her home after a short battle with cancer.

Preceded in death by husband, Harold; parents, Frank and Leona Heber; and brother, Bill Heber.

Bonnie was born February 6, 1938 to Frank and Leona Heber in Redfield, SD. Bonnie married Harold Fink on November 4, 1957 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Zell, SD. The family moved to Cottage Grove, MN in 1959 after the birth of their first child to join Harold who worked for the U.S Postal Service.

Bonnie worked for School District 833 in food services for many years while her children were in school. She also volunteered at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church for the funeral committee.

Survivors include her sons, Tony (Bernie), Tim (Terry), and Perry (Catherine); daughter, Pam Stober; brothers, Bob (Jane) Heber, Roger (Patty) Heber; sister, Brenda (Terry) Hansen; in-laws, Joe Lagen, Ella Mae Fink, Red and Carol Fink; grandchildren, Tim, Tanya, Nolan, Mallary, Lane, Lincoln, Rebecca, and Ben; great grandchildren, Sylas, and Jayce; and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial is Monday, September 20 at 11am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church (920 Holley Avenue, St. Paul Park, MN). Visitation two hours prior to the funeral service: 9am-11am. Interment at St. Thomas Aquinas cemetery in St. Paul Park.
