Charles "Chuck" John Shipton

Charles "Chuck" John Shipton, age 59, of Newport, Minnesota, passed away on August 30, 2026, after an unrelenting battle with cancer.

Chuck was a man who walked in his own path and lived life entirely on his own terms. Those who understood Chuck best will remember him for his unexpected wit, protective soul, and complicated yet simple nature.

Chuck is survived by his mother Linda Shipton; sister Michele (Charles) Swearingen, niece Taylor (Daniel) Museus, nephew Erik (Maddie Gunhus) Swearingen, Chuck was preceded in death by his father Donald Leroy Shipton.

Our love for you did not end when your struggles did; it simply found a quieter place to rest.
