Charles “Chuck” Veigel, age 53, died unexpectedly at his home in Newport on April 6, 2020.

Chuck was born on May 30, 1966 to Eugene and Phyllis (Hathaway) Veigel.  He graduated from Tartan High School and was employed in several career fields including Capital Communications, Mesaba Airlines, Comcast and Loomis.

He met his wife, Dawn Bandas, when they were working together at Mesaba Airlines.  They were married on November 5, 1998.

Chuck is survived by his wife Dawn; sons Kyle (Jennifer Schmidt) and Brody; grandson Jaxson; mother Phyllis and one sister, Jean.  He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene.

Private services will be planned at a later date.
