Charlotte "Char" C. Henry (Nankivell)

Char, 75, of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Lexington Pointe Senior Living surrounded by family.

A celebration of Char's life will be held on Saturday June 28, at 11:00 AM at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St S, Cottage Grove, MN. Visitation one hour before and lunch following. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to your favorite charity in Char's memory.

Char was born on October 21, 1949, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Robert V. and Caroline (Miller) Nankivell. She grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and moved to the St. Paul area in 1964. Char graduated from Henry Sibley High School in 1967 and went on to earn her degree from Drake University in 1971, where she excelled as a student-athlete and proudly played on the volleyball team.

On June 19, 1971, she married her high school sweetheart, Earl J. Henry. Together, they made their home in Mendota Heights and raised two sons.

Char was known for being talkative and loved spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed many hobbies including golf, bowling, softball, bingo, party and duplicate bridge and sharing restaurant lunches and memorable trips to Las Vegas with lifelong friends Mary and Bonnie. She especially loved a good game of video poker and was always hoping the next hand might bring a royal flush.

Above all, Char cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, cherished sister, caring aunt and a loyal friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law Patty Lisec and brother-in-law Al Stoskopf. Char is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Earl; sons Joseph (Jamie) and Philip; grandchildren Carrie, Carter, Michael, and Matthew; and siblings Deborah Nankivell, Nancy Nankivell, and Robert G. (Terry) Nankivell; sisters-in-law Mary Stoskopf and Kathy (Bob) Christmas and brother-in-law Tom Lisec.
