Cletus Joseph Tembreull

Cletus "Clet" Tembreull, age 91 of Cottage Grove peacefully passed away on April 5, 2024. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM on Friday, April 26, 2024 at The Church of St. Rita, 8694 80th Street S., Cottage Grove with a one-hour visitation prior to service at the church from 9-10 am. Luncheon to follow the service and interment at Cottage Grove Cemetery.

Cletus was born July 18, 1932 to Anton and Anne (Peine) Tembreull in Pierz, MN. He served active duty in the Army during the Korean War. Cletus enjoyed the outdoors biking, walking, gardening and especially fishing much of that time with Cleo by his side. In his spare time, he liked to watch baseball and was an avid fan of the Twins. Cleora and Cletus were long time members of the Country Cousins Dancing Club. Cletus was able to maintain his cars with the help of his son Doug which was a win-win doing it together. In his later years, bingo was a favorite and he always stayed active with the resident's activities offered at the care facility.  He was known for his friendliness and kind spirit.  Cletus will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
