Constance Jean Gibbs

Nov 8, 1945 — Oct 22, 2026

Constance Jean Gibbs, 80, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2026. Born on November 8, 1945, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Constance lived a life marked by warmth, wit, and just the right amount of sass.

Constance spent her working years as a 411 operator at Qwest, masterfully navigating the universe of information long before smartphones made it all too easy. She had a knack for connecting people, not just by phone, but in life. Whether that meant playing a competitive game of dominos, sharing laughs with friends, or cozying up with her grandchildren for movie marathons. Music was her constant companion; if there was a soundtrack to her life, it would be eclectic, spirited, and utterly unforgettable.

Though dementia eventually claimed her memory, it never dimmed the spark she brought to those around her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Sophia Gewecke (Garry); adopted parents Thomas Aloysius Gibbs and Mary Celestine Mullen; her husband, Anthony Leroy Hare; and her brother, Kevin Francis Gibbs. She leaves behind a loving circle including her sons, Anthony Jelani Hare (Kathleen), Emeral Matthew Hare; and grandchildren, Lee Tran, Anthony Ra Hare III, and Jaymir Phillips-Hare, who will dearly miss her sharp mind and even sharper sense of humor.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Episcopal Church Home for their compassionate care and attention to our beloved mother.

Constance Jean Gibbs may have left this world, but her laughter, love, and legendary domino moves will resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. Rest well, Constance - you've earned it.
