David WAYNE Polly, age 88, of Cottage Grove, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 4, 2021.
Preceded in death by loving wife of 64 years, Betty (nee Kegan); parents, Lindsay and Fonda (nee Mullins); sister, Evelyn Polly. Survived by children, Margaret Polly, David Wayne Jr. (Shirley), Kathy Wolfson (Bernard St.Onge), and Constance Polly (Humberto) Valdes-Tergas; grandchildren, Paul Jr. (Maia), Tia, and Daniel Williams, Alan (Lisa), Christianne, and Deanna Wolfson, David, Mark, and Kelly Jackson; as well as other loving family and friends.
Wayne graduated from West Point in 1955 and honorably served in the Army Corps of Engineers; he then worked as a radar design engineer for four decades. He was very active in his church and mentor in his community. He will be missed by all who knew him and be remembered for his service to God, family, and country.
Visitation 5:00-8:00 PM, Friday, July 9, 2021, at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN, 55016. Funeral Service 10:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM, Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 9979 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN, 55016. A reception will follow. Private interment with military honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
