Dawn Rassett

Dawn Marie Rassett, age 77, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025 in Hastings, MN surrounded by her family. She is now reunited with her parents and her brother, whom she loved dearly.

Dawn was born on October 24, 1948 in Saint Paul, MN to Richard and Donna (Parker) Dickey. She graduated from Park High School in 1966. Dawn spent 41 years at Securian Financial, where she built lasting friendships and was known for her kindness, steady presence, and willingness to help anyone who needed it. She was an avid reader and enjoyed wintering in Mission, Texas. She also gave her time to the American Legion, a place where she found community and purpose. 

She is survived by life partner Dick Drude; her two daughters Christina Rassett and Julie (Jeff) Schwamberger; and Keiara (Tom) Countryman whom she raised like a daughter; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; sisters Patty (Paul) Friendt, Debbie (John) Warren, Renee Niemeier and sister-in-law Janet Dickey. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard Dickey and Donna (Parker) Sylvester; step-fathers Ward Casteel and Dale Sylvester and brother Craig Dickey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th Street S.; Cottage Grove, MN with a visitation from 10-11 AM prior to the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The American Cancer Society.
