Donna Mae Seigler (Burns)

May 9, 1943 — November 3, 2025

Lake Elmo, Minnesota

Mrs. Donna Mae Seigler, 82, of Lake Elmo, Minnesota, passed away on November 3, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer and heart complications.

Born on May 9, 1943, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Donna lived a life defined by resilience and devotion to her family. She was the beloved wife of Dennis Seigler and the cherished mother of three daughters: Cindy Charn (the late Jeff Charn), Kimberly Richardson (Thomas Richardson), and Colleen Zillmer (Lonny Zillmer). Donna’s love extended to her grandchildren—Ryan Richardson (Autumn Richardson), Kelly Richardson, Jeffrey Charn (Megan Charn), Kristen Kerkhoff (Tyson Kerkhoff), Jessica Zillmer, and Jacob Zillmer (Chloe Zillmer)—and eight great-grandchildren, with another joyfully anticipated. Donna is also remembered by her sister Sandy Rose (Steve Rose), with whom she shared a lifelong bond. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlowine and Joseph Burns; her brother Dennis Burns; her son-in-law Jeffrey Charn; and her parents-in-law Donald and Gertrude Seigler.

Donna found joy in bringing people together. Her home was often filled with laughter, delicious meals, and the warmth of family gatherings. She especially enjoyed traveling—frequent trips to Mexico with Dennis and loved ones brought her great happiness—as well as spontaneous casino getaways that added fun and adventure to her life. Throughout her battles with colon cancer, lung cancer—which led to the loss of part of a lung—and ongoing heart issues, Donna faced each challenge with grace and determination. Her strength and positive spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
