Eleanor Helen Meyer

Eleanor H. Meyer, born Eleanor H. Nevala on November 27th, 1965, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at her home in Woodbury, Minnesota, on November 21, 2025. She was the proud mother to three girls and a motherly figure to many more who had the privilege of knowing her. Eleanor's fun spirit and unconditional love will live on in the many lives she touched.

While raising two young children, Eleanor obtained a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from St. Catherine University. She used this degree to advance her career and was a beloved manager and team member at Securian Financial for over 36 years. Her hard work and dedication were recognized by many achievement awards throughout the years.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Benhardt & Marlene (Richter) Nevala; her daughter, Katherine Meyer; and her brother, Jimmy Nevala. She will be profoundly missed by her daughters, Kristy Wert (Ethan) and Madeline Meyer (Carter Knutson); sister-in-law, Katie Vertin-Nevala, as well as many family members and friends who loved her dearly.

There will be a small service held for immediate family members. A Celebration of Life is being planned for early 2026 - all who knew Eleanor are welcome to attend.
