Ervin C Konobeck 79, of Cottage Grove, died peacefully December 28 at United Hospital one day shy of his 80th birthday.
He was born in St. Paul to Carl & Anna and grew up in Scandia where he developed a passion and love for horses. Ervin met Mary Lou in 1954 and they married in St. Paul in 1956. He was a 27 year heart transplant recipient and proud to part of "The Zipper Gang".
He will be deeply missed by loving wife of 59 of years Mary Lou; daughter Carrie; grandchildren Tawnya (Seven), Shawn, Korey (Dez) Joshua, Dustin, Tina Marie; great grandchildren Andrew & Damion; siblings Tom (Joanne), Steve, Lou (Peggy), Carolyn (Clair) Garcia, Denise; many other relatives and friends; and furry companions Bella, Dolly & Duke.
Ervin joins in heaven his daughter Cindie Lou; great grandson Sonny; brothers Richard and Roberts and his parents.
A celebration of Erivin's life is planned for a later date.
