Esther Jackson

age 92, formerly of Grand Marais passed away peacefully at Regina Medical Center in Hastings on Sunday morning July 6, 2008 .

Esther was born November 4, 19 15 in Gilbert , Minnesota the daughter of Lillian (Majala) & William Olson. She was raised in Gilbert. Esther moved to Grand Marais and married Frederick Jackson. Together they owned and operated Jackson ’s Café in Grand Marais. In 1960 Esther became deputy registrar for Cook County , State of Minnesota . She retired in 2001. Esther loved spending time at the family cabin.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frederick and her son Thomas. Esther is survived by her daughter Helen (Bob) Brock; daughter-in-law Helen; grandsons Joseph (Charise), John (Shelly); five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
