Frank Yekaldo

Frank A. Yekaldo, age 84 of Inver Grove Heights, formerly of East St. Paul, passed away March 24, 2019.

A memorial service will be 2 pm, Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th Street S., Cottage Grove with visitation one hour prior.

Frank Anthony Yekaldo was born February 6, 1935 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Ralph and Lillian (Mash) Yekaldo.  Prior to his graduation from Johnson High School in 1953, Frank started working for The Great Northern Railroad and continued to work there for the next 20 years.  He met the love of his life, Patricia Shursen, and they were married on February 15, 1955.  They made their home in St. Paul, where they raised their two daughters.  Frank was incredibly proud of his Italian heritage and enjoyed following the Vikings, Twins and boxing.  He also was an avid movie watcher and made frequent trips to the casino.

Frank is survived by his daughters Patti (Mike) Larson and Georgette (Dave) Lopez; grandchildren Steve (Jessica), Dina, Cassie, Jacob, Dominic; great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Geno, Emily and Vinny as well as one brother Fred.  He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia; grandson Joseph Burth and brother Anthony.
