Georgiana Olzenak, age 88, of Cottage Grove, Minnesota passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025. Georgiana was born on July 24, 1937 to George F. and Edith S. (Anderson) Bach in St. Paul, Minnesota. Grew up on Rice Street in St. Paul and graduated from Washington High School. On June 2, 1956, she married her sweetheart, Jack, at Saint Bernard’s Church. She was a loving wife and a wonderful mom and grandmother. Over the years, she worked many different jobs—selling concessions at the old Civic Center, greeting customers at the McDonald’s drive-thru in Cottage Grove, helping with takeout orders at Tinucci’s in Newport, and later spending some time as a Hy-Vee cashier.
Her favorite pastime was spending time outdoors working in the yard. She loved mowing the lawn and keeping everything neat and tidy. She was an avid Minnesota Twins fan and especially enjoyed sitting outside around a bonfire either watching or listening to the Minnesota Wild while sipping on a Bloody Mary.
Georgiana is survived by her children Greg, Barb (John) Maslowski and Scott; grandchildren Jenna Olson (Brett), Daniel Maslowski (Kirstin), Andrew Maslowski (Courtney), and Brandon Olzenak (fiance', Jenny); great granddaughter Delaney. She is preceded in death by her husband John "Jack"; sons Kevin and Allan "Al"; and daughter-in-law Janine.
