After a lifelong battle with depression.
Gerald Edward Carlson was born March 22, 1958 in St. Paul, Minnesota the son of Raymond & Lucille (Eitel) Carlson. He graduated from Centennial High School with honors. On May 10, 1993 he was united in marriage with Lynda Kollas in Las Vegas. Jerry was a musician, a drummer, and guitar player who loved to build and repair acoustic guitars and amps. He apprenticed with James Olson. Jerry taught video production at the Hastings High School from 1994-1997.
Beloved father of Jonathan, Elizabeth, Stephen; husband of Lynda; brother of Ray Jr. (Lynn), Kathy (Dick) Teele, Michael (Jan), Richard (Kathy), Edward (Karen), Dan (Roberta) LaForge; numerous nieces & nephews.
Preceded in death by parents Raymond & Lucille; step-mom Delores; siblings, David, Caroline, and Thomas.
Visitation 2-5 PM Tuesday with 4 PM Funeral Service at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 7676 80TH St. S. Cottage Grove.
