Gladys Gunderson, age 104 of Cottage Grove, passed away March 19, 2021 at White Pine Assisted Living in Cottage Grove.

Gladys was born April 4, 1916 near Prescott, Wisconsin to Louis and Blanch Louden.  She attended country school through the 8th grade and graduated from Hastings High School in 1933.

Gladys was married to Clarence M. Gunderson on and they lived in various places before moving to Cottage Grove in the late 1940’s.  She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and shopping.  Many of the family were recipients of the beautiful afghans that she made through the years.

Gladys is survived by children Jerome (Laura) Gunderson, Bonnie Coomer (Jack Denzer); as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friends.  She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence; daughter Sandra Kopren; grandson Richard Kopren; son-in-law Roger Coomer; parents Louis and Blanche; sisters Helen Herman, Florence Beeler and Marion Meyer.

Funeral will be 11:00 am, Monday, March 22, 2021 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 – 80th Street S., Cottage Grove with visitation one hour prior.  Interment will be at the Leavitt Cemetery, Hastings, MN.  Masks will be required while in the funeral home facility.
