Gloria Miller

Gloria J. Miller, age 86, of Grey Cloud Island and St. Paul Park, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, May 8, 2023. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Gloria worked in the Cottage Grove school system as a school cook and bus driver for 30 plus years. When not working, Gloria could be found enjoying the great outdoors with her family. Trips up to the cabin on "Winnie" Lake were treasured by all. Family was her everything!

Gloria lived in Grey Cloud Island and St. Paul Park all her life. She and her family built the home she lived in for 54 years. She lived and enjoyed a simple life.

She is survived by her children, Sherry (Greg) McPherson-Ness and Rick Miller; daughter-in-law, Valerie Miller; grandchildren, Jason (Lori), Julie (Gary), Josh (Kayla), Jordan (Jason), Jake, Jimmy, Amy (Jeremy), Kayla, and Rachel (Travis); great grandchildren; siblings, Leon (Sandy) Zarn and Lanny (Bonnie) Zarn; lifelong friend, June Shoen; and in-laws, Gary and Effie.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; son, Randy Miller; brother, Daryl Zarn; son-in-law, Rick McPherson; parents; nephew, Bradley Miller; and lifelong friend, Sam Shoen.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th Street S. Cottage Grove, MN) at 12pm, with visitation beginning at 10am.
