Ida C. Verdick, 93, formerly of St. Paul Park, passed away on Thursday afternoon, November 5, 2009 at Cerenity Care Center on Humboldt Avenue in West Saint Paul following a lengthy illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 9, 2009 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 920 Holley Avenue, St. Paul Park, with the Reverend Greg Esty, officiating. Burial will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Monday at church.
Ida C. Verdick was born November 19, 1915 in St. Paul, the daughter of James and Clara Elizabeth (Strobel) Deegan. She was united in marriage to Steve Verdick and had been employed as a cook Duke's Restaurant for many years.
Ida is survived by her sons, John (Linda) Verdick of St. Paul Park & Richard (Betty) Verdick of Hugo, seven grandchildren; Dawn Clemens, David, Steven & Scott Kinneman, Jim & Jeff Verdick and Chelsey Verdick., 10 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great -grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve, daughter, Joan and her brother, George.
