Ione Mae Kalstad

Ione Mae Kalstad, age 96, of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, was welcomed to her eternal home on November 29, 2025, surrounded by family.

Born July 10, 1929, in Union Township, Iowa, to Edward and Edna Schulze.

Survived by: Children: Danny Kalstad, Nancy (Dave) Pawlik, Susan (Michael Berry) Leshovsky; Sister: Norma Pike; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren (with number 24 due in February).

Preceded in death by: Parents; husband Paul; son Timothy; brother Edward Schulze; granddaughter Christina and great-grandson Koda.

She married the love of her life on June 25, 1949. In 1960, they moved to Cottage Grove to raise their family. She enjoyed gardening, chasing squirrels and bunnies, and having family around.

Her work included secretary at the high school, real estate agent, and travel agent. She volunteered for many years with SOWERs ministry and at Woodwinds Hospital. Her favorite role was being a mom and raising her family.

Private Services are being held.
