Irwin Joseph "Joe" Milesko

October 1, 1953 - November 3, 2023

Joe left for the comfort and peace of God’s Kingdom on November 3, 2023.  He is reunited with his parents Caesar and Antoinette Milesko and sister, Elaine Poskozim.  He was born October 1, 1953, and grew up with six siblings on the south side of Chicago.   Joe married his soulmate, Liz, on August 14, 1982.

He had an adventurous spirit and found joy in nature, animals and hiking in the wilderness. Joe and Liz built their cabin together and raised two sons. Joe thrived on teaching their sons the joy of camping, water skiing and snow skiing. He found happiness canoeing across the BWCA with family and friends, boating on Lake Superior, and taking car and motorcycle trips. Joe's twinkle in his eye, great smile and love of helping others endeared him to family.

Joe was much loved by his family: Liz, Grady (Tessa), Casey (Kim) grandchildren Elise, Micah, Elias and Colette; sisters Barbara Hicks, Diana (Frank) Milesko-Pytel, Florence Graham, Hedy (Mike) Duggan, brother Glen (Laverne), brother-in-law Mike Poskozim, friends Mike Libby, Jim Moore and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers-in-law Ted Hicks, Tom Gettleman, and David Graham.

Memorial service will be 11:00 am, Monday, December 4, 2023 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80^th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN with visitation one hour prior.  Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory can be made to Second Harvest Heartland.

Joe loved well and was well loved.
