James was born December 1, 19 48 in St. Paul , Minnesota , the son of Lorrin & June (Trovatten) Dahlager. He graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1967. On June 12, 1971 he was united in marriage to Pamela Anderson in Esko , Minnesota .

Memorial service 3 PM Wednesday at ALL SAINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 8100 Belden Blvd , Cottage Grove . Private interment.
