James "Jim" Hintz

Jim Hintz, age 77 of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on Monday, December 12, 2022.

Jim loved to hunt, fish, spend time with his family, and tell stories.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Muriel; children, Kim (Ralph) Nutzman, Kelly (Rob) Poppler, Jeff (Darlyn) Hintz, and Brian (Candy) Hintz; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and sister, Judy (Jim) Essig.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Hazel; and sister, Evelyn Schultz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (920 Holley Ave, Saint Paul Park, MN) on Monday, December 19 at 10:30am with visitation beginning at 8:30am. Jim will be laid to rest at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish Cemetery in the spring of 2023.
