James “Jim” Ksiazek, age 86, of Newport, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, January 7, 2024.
A service will be held on Saturday, May 11 at 11:00 am at Church of Saint Patrick, 3535 72nd Street East, Inver Grove Heights, MN with visitation one hour prior. A private burial will be held at a later date.James was known for loving a good game of poker, cribbage and visiting the casino every once in a while. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman in his free time. A notable accomplishment of James was his time serving in the United States Air Force for 4 years.
James is preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Ksiazek; parents, John and Julia Ksiazek; brother, Chuck Ksiazek; aunt, Martha Stwora; and sister-in-law, Joyce Ksiazek.
He is survived by his children, Jodie (Kyle) Stensrud, James (Amy), and Sheila (Frank) Wirtz; grandchildren, Paige, Nicole, Ethan, Emma, Alex, James, and Ella; brothers, Walter Ksiazek, John Ksiazek (Dianne), Frank Ksiazek (Diane); sister, Julie Ann Nyquist; sister-in-law, Sherry Ksiazek; many nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.
