James “Jim” Patrick Murphy passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 22, 2021.

Murph was a kind and hard-working man. He could be found hunting, wheeling, and enjoying the outdoors.

Jim is survived by his children, Kaitlyn (Joshua Parnell) and James; mom, Carol; brother, Joe (Susi), and many cousins, uncles, aunts, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Hubert, and infant son, William.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at The Church of St. Rita (8694 80th Street South Cottage Grove, MN) with a visitation beginning at 9 am. Interment at Cottage Grove Cemetery to follow and a reception at the Clover Leaf Bar and Grill (2146 Hastings Ave Newport, MN) will immediately follow the burial.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the family.
