Jason “Jake” Daniel Beiler, 51, of Cottage Grove, MN, formerly Wausau, WI, passed away October 18, 2020 at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Jake was born in Wausau, WI to Janis Jarvis and Andrew Beiler. Jan and the kids moved to the Twin Cities in 1985 where Jake lived for many years.

Everyone who knew Jake, would say that he had a tremendous heart for people and animals. He had many lifelong friends from all over the country where he and Cathie have lived.

In his lifetime he chose different career paths, the main focus always remained, helping people. Jake ultimately chose a career as an EMT, which suited him perfectly. Working with two different hospitals and a fire department, Jake had found his passion, making the newspaper several times for his heroics. He was also a very talented drummer, even playing in New Orleans on Bourbon Street, which was one of his favorite cities to visit. Music was important to Jake and remained in his heart for his entire life. Throughout his life Jake sought knowledge and learned much about human nature and compassion. He remained an avid student in understanding the soul.

Jake enjoyed traveling, cooking, camping, hiking, and anything that involved the great outdoors. He was incredibly talented and had a vision for repair whether it was in the garage or in the house, he could fix or build anything.

Jake has had an indescribable impact on his family and will be greatly missed.

Jake was survived by his mother, Janis Jarvis; father, Andrew Beiler; brother, Zac Beiler; wife, Cathie Lindblom; step-children, William (Ambra) Lindblom and Nicole Goodman; grandchildren, Effie, Ariana, and Morrison; several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Don and Ruth Jarvis; and his paternal grandparents, John and Helen Beiler.

A celebration of Jake’s life will be held at a later date.  In Iieu of flowers, Jake had asked that you vote for Joe Biden.
