Jeanette (Jenny) Rodriguez, 47, of Cottage Grove, is no longer with us as her passing was discovered on June 25th, 2025. Tragically, Jenny lost her battle with mental illness.
She came into the world on February 6, 1978, to Dale and Hildegard Cavalier. She grew up in Saint Paul Park, Minnesota, where she created many amazing memories with her family and friends.
Jenny attended Park High School in Cottage Grove and was a standout Gymnast. This prepared her for an impactful career sharing her amazing gifts and talents to help coach and build up young, aspiring gymnasts, dancers, and athletes.
She married James (Jim) Rodriguez on September 21, 2002, and had four children: James, Jolie, Samuel, and Daniel. Jenny and Jim planted their roots in Cottage Grove where they went on to build their family and be well-known as the "place to be" throughout their neighborhood.
She was deeply passionate about family, friends, fitness, laughter, and meaningful time spent vacationing with her family on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta. Her bright smile, caring heart, cheerful spirit and contagious sense of humor leaves a lasting imprint on the hearts of everyone that knew her.
Jenny was preceded in death by her beloved father, Dale Cavalier, her grandparents, Carol and Thomas Carroll, Hildegard and Josef Fischer.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jim; children, James, Jolie, Samuel, and Daniel; her mother, Hildegard Cavalier; her siblings, Amanda Cavalier, Deanna Chandler (Roger), Joseph Cavalier (Pearl), and Matthew Gackstetter. She is also survived by her in-laws; James and Theresa Rodgriguez; Christina and Troy Arvin, Lisa Rodriguez and Derrick Foster. Lastly, she is survived by many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and countless friends who will miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Jenny on Thursday, July 24th at Hope Glen Farm in Cottage Grove. Visitation begins at Noon (12 p.m.) with a service starting at 2 p.m.
