Joanne Best-Gatlin
October 28, 1972 — April 9, 2023
Joanne E. Best-Gatlin, age 50, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023, after a three-year battle with Guillan-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Joanne; brother, Daniel; grandmother, Edith; and father-in-law James Corbin Sr.
Joanne is survived by her three sons, Danny (Kirsten) Gatlin, Dillon (Kelsey) Gatlin, and Dalton Gatlin; twin sister, Jonene (David) Cherry; fiancé, James Corbin Jr.; granddaughters, Gabriella and Madison; step-children, JT and Brandi; step-grandchildren, James and Faye; nephews, Kevin and Brandon; niece, Jennifer; and other friends and family.
Joanne enjoyed bowling, roller skating and ice skating. She and Jonene spent many weekends competing in ice skating shows together. Joanne was also a very proud parent of a veteran.
A Celebration of Life gathering will take place on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 10am-2pm at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove. Interment will take place Monday, April 24, 2023 at 3pm at Union Cemetery, Maplewood.
