Joanne M.Zarske (nee: Swearingen)81 of Cottage Grove died peacefully surrounded by loving family on Feb. 21, 2016. Preceded in death by husband Robert; sons Steve, Tom; siblings Geraldine Godfrey, Tom. Survived by children Theresa, Jeff (Cathy); grandchildren Bob(Amber), Kristen (Mike), Robert; great grandchildren Willow, Liam, Ava; brother Sonny (Norma); brother in law Dick Godfrey; former son in law Tim Shannon. Memorial Mass 11am Friday, Feb 26 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (920 Holly Ave. St. Paul Park) with a visitation 5-8 Thursday at Kok Funeral Home (1201 Portland Ave. St. Paul Park) and 1 hour prior to mass at church. Interment St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery. A special thank you to the staff at Norris Square and Health East Hospice. In honor of Joanne please dress in purple.
