John Henry Dick, beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
John was born on October 10, 1940, in Hudson, Wisconsin to Carl and Ellen. He graduated from Harding Senior High School Class of 1958. John married the love of his life Patricia Ann Dick (Faber) on February 28, 1959, at St John Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minnesota.
John served two stints in the United States Air Force from 1959-1960 with Honorable Discharge. He was recalled to active duty in 1961 for the Berlin Crisis and was Honorably Discharged in 1963.
John devoted much of his career to the United States Postal Service as a Mail Carrier from February 1965 to October 2000. In his retirement John spent time making wooden clocks, fishing, and riding his motorcycle trike.
On May 7, 2026, the Lord graciously called John to his eternal home after a short and courageous health battle. His time of grace on this earth was 85 years.
John is preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia; and brother, Richard.
Survived by children, Steven and Mary Jo (Brian) Hagen; grandchildren, Mitchell Hagen, Kirstin Thompson (Jeff), Jeff Dick, Carrie Perkins (Eric), and Danielle Alverson (Craig); great grandchildren, Payton, Kody, Aunika, Bristol, Addie, Everly, Beckett, and Lennon.
Funeral Service 11 AM with visitation beginning at 10 AM, Monday, May 18, 2026 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7600 Cahill Ave. E., Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota 55076. Burial to follow at Cottage Grove Cemetery, Cottage Grove, Minnesota.
