John Long

John L. Long, age 79, of Fort Myers, FL, former resident of Cottage Grove, MN, passed away peacefully of natural causes on October 29, 2018.

Preceded in death by wife, Judie; son, John Jr.; grandchildren, Adam and Elizabeth Vance; parents, Leonard and Juanita; and brother, Edward. Survived by son, Joseph (Paula); daughter, Debra (Kevin) Vance; grandchildren, Brooke (Tyler Neuman), Abby (Anthony) Germain, Tyler, and Emily; five great grandchildren; siblings, Janet Erickson, Jerry, JoAnn Nelson, and Marie Sand; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

John was a proud veteran of the US Army. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and spending time with them.
