John Niles

John Niles, age 93, of Cottage Grove, Minnesota passed away peacefully in his home on September 15, 2025 surrounded by his family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am, Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 920 Holley Ave.; St. Paul Park, MN with visitation beginning at 10 am. A private Interment will take place at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or The Church of St. Agnes in St. Paul.

John is survived by his children Lea Phillips, Deb Niles, Patty (Joe) Gubash, Greg (Janell) Niles, Sue Caldwell, Tom (Tanya) Niles; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Shirley (David) Crawford.

John is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years Carol; his parents Leo and Magdelen and sisters Bernadette, Mary and Jean.
