Jorge Bautista Atendido

Jorge Atendido passed away peacefully on December 31st with his wife at his side. Jorge was born in Morong, Rizal, Philippines on February 22nd, 1940 to Mauro and Estelita. He grew up in Morong, graduated from St Jerome's Academy in 1956, then attended De La Salle College in Manila where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. In 1966 he immigrated to Canada before he then settled in Minnesota where he began working for 3M. Jorge married Amelita Angeles in Manila in 1968. He worked for 3M for 32 years as a chemical engineer.

In his free time, he enjoyed playing and watching sports. He was creative and loved art and photography - capturing and sharing many special moments with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mauro and Estelita Atendido; his four brothers Ruben Romero, Jose Romero, Manuel Atendido, and Roberto Atendido.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Amelita; children George, Robert, and Anna (Joel) Dehn; grandson Leo; sister Nedy Atendido Banta; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM with visitation beginning at 10 AM, Friday January 9, 2026 at the Church of St. Rita, 8694 80th Street S., Cottage Grove, MN 55016. Final resting place St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, St. Paul Park, MN.
