Judith Mary Darby (nee Mulvihill),

Age 77, of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully at home on October 15, 2023 surrounded by her family. Judith was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She endured a lifelong battle having Type 1 Diabetes since she was seven years old and despite living with that, she remained strong and had a great zest for life. Judith was also an animal lover (especially cats), a music lover and she also possessed a large collection of ceramic rabbits. She will be dearly missed by her family and those who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Peggy Mulvihill; brother, Mike (Jeannie) Mulvihill and sisters, Lorraine (John) Tyler and Jeanne Meyer. She is survived by her daughter, Renee (Tom) Farmer; grandchildren, Alicia (Max) Miller, Ben Farmer; sister, Marjorie (Leonard) Yanez (nee Mulvihill); love of her life, Dick Darby; special cousin, Angie Kucera; and many cousins, nieces, nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews.

The family would love to give a special thank you to Allina Hospice and those specifically who helped Judith in her final days. Thank you Tawnia, Jessica, Suzie, Chandler, and Amber.

A memorial mass for Judith will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the Church of Saint Rita (8694 80th St S, Cottage Grove, MN 55016) with a visitation starting at 10 AM. A burial will take place immediately following mass at Newport Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to family.
