Judy McDonough

Judy passed peacefully at United Hospital with her family there to help support her after a short battle with Lymphoma.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents Peter and Dorothy McDonough, her sister Jean Doten and her nephew Chad Schlecht.

Judy started working at Waldorf paper mill in St. Paul, Minnesota 2 weeks after her 18th birthday. Her career at the paper mill spanned 46 years. She was able to retire from the paper mill and pursue her favorite pastime of visiting the casino. She was not able to help fund her retirement, but she sure did enjoy her time playing the slot machines.

Judy is survived by her son Rick McDonough and his wife Diane along with her Granddaughter Emili McDonough; her brother Jim McDonough and his wife Julie; her sister Joan Schlecht and her husband Charlie; along with her nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at United Hospital for the tireless work of making Judy comfortable throughout her last days.

A memorial will be planned for a later date to allow her family to grieve in their own way. A notice will be made available with details.
