Julie Stapf, age 60, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
Julie was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota to David and Betty Stapf. She attended Como and Humboldt Jr. High, and graduated from Bridgeview day program. Since 1998, she was involved with ProAct, Inc. in Eagan, participating in drama programs. She attended Camp Courage for summer activities where she especially enjoyed the pool and horseback riding.
Julie's favorite things were flamingos, butterflies, horses, hummingbirds, and mourning doves. She loved music, movies, Bingo, pizza parties with friends, playing on her laptop computer, and wheelchair dancing. Julie played wheelchair basketball, and loved going to drive-in movies and hayrides. Her favorite actor was Patrick Swayze and her favorite singer was Whitney Houston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Betty Stapf; uncle, Harry Dicker.
Julie is survived by her brother Mike (Michele); nephew Scott (Cara); niece Kerry Stapf; cousin and close friend Kris Frank; extended Scottish family; and many friends.
Funeral Service 11 AM with visitation beginning at 10 AM, Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at All Saints Lutheran Church, 8100 Belden Blvd., Cottage Grove, Minnesota 55016. Interment at Acacia Park Cemetery 2151 Pilot Knob Rd, Mendota Heights, MN 55120 to follow.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Eric's House for all of the kindness and care Julie received during her time there.
