Kathleen "Kate" Laura Rezek

Kathleen “Kate” Rezek, age 89, of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025.

Born on October 5, 1935, Kate grew up in a large family on the West Side of St. Paul, where her deep faith and Irish Catholic spirit took root.

A devoted follower of Jesus and Mother Mary, Kate lived a life grounded in grace and kindness. She was an unwavering source of support to all who knew her. Her faith and warmth touched countless lives and left a legacy of love and resilience.

Kate was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Rezek and daughter, Kim Rezek. She is survived by daughters Lindsay (Tom) Lopez and Franki Rezek as well as her bonus daughter Pansy (Steve) Carlson; grandchildren Lucas, Jessica, Thomas (Jenny), Daniel (Taylor), Katie (Scott), Alex (Henry), and Zach (Leah); and 13 great-grandchildren who will carry forward her memory.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at the Church of St. Rita, 8694 80th Street, Cottage Grove, MN 55016 with a visitation from 10-11 AM. Following Mass, ice cream will be served before leaving for burial at Resurrection Cemetery, 2101 Lexington Ave.; Mendota Heights, MN.
