Kevin Van Voorst

Kevin L. Van Voorst, age 50, of Newport, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2019 while surrounded by loving family after a two-year battle with cancer.

Preceded in death by parents, James and Greta; brothers, Alvin, James Jr., and Timothy; and mother-in-law, Denise Maier. Survived by wife, Angie; children, Amber, Joseph, and Kayla; siblings, Lois (Alvin) Zomer, Shirley (Dutch) Born, Roger (Carol), Arlin, Doug (Diane), Lavonne (Harvey) Spaans, and Thomas (Annette); sisters-in-law, Audrey (Perry) Raman and Shirley Hallstrom; father-in-law, Norm Maier; brother-in-law, Craig (Tonya) Maier, and sister-in-law, Jennifer (Bryan) Pierson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, especially Dr. Brent Born (little brother at heart).

Kevin loved to spend time with his family and friends at the cabin in Hayward, Wisconsin. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Memorial Service 5 PM with visitation beginning at 3 PM, Monday, March 25, 2019 at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, 211 E. Division Street, River Falls, WI, 54022.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
