Liane Dowdle

age 66 of Cottage Grove on October 4, 2008 at her home peacefully after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Liane was born November 3, 19 41 in Milwaukee , Wisconsin the daughter of Bjarne & Irma (Oschmann) Norheim. She was raised in Strum, Wisconsin and graduated from Eleva-Strum Central High School in 1960. On November 19, 19 66 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Richard Dowdle at St. Michael’s Church in West St. Paul . She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her grandchildren and her friends. Liane was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church .

She is the beloved wife of Lawrence; loving mother of Craig (Emily), Dawn (friend Mohamed), Dean, Judie; devoted grandma to Courtney, Carter, Teddy, Olivia, Zachary, Mariah, Adam; sister of Judie (Donald) Matchey, twin of Lynn Norheim; sister-in-law of Marlene (Richard) Lloyd, Pat & Kathie McBride; many other relatives and special friends.

Liane was preceded in death by parents Bjarne & Irma Norheim; brothers Warren & Dennis McBride; sister-in-law MaryAnn Norheim.

Funeral Service at 11 AM Wednesday October 8 at ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH , 8500 Hillside Tr. S. Cottage Grove. Interment Newport Cemetery . Visitation 4-8 PM Tuesday at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 7676 80 ^TH St. S. Cottage Grove (651-459-2875) and 10-11 AM Wed. at church. Memorials preferred.
