Margaret Mary Roarke

Margaret Mary Roarke, age 80, of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at United Hospital. She was born to Aloysius and Edith (Chapdelaine) McNamara on December 18, 1944.

She was married to Arthur Roarke in 1963 and together they had three children, Pamela, Sylvia, and Steven.

She was deeply faithful, praying her rosary daily, and attending online mass at home when she became unable to attend in person.

She loved her husband/honey as she called him, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren beyond life itself. Her beautiful smile, loving, and caring spirit will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years Arthur; her daughter, Pamela Rysavy (partner Doug); son, Steven (Christy) Roarke; grandchildren, Sarah, Anna, Luke, Brandon, Marcus, and Nickolas; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Theresa Todd, Beverly White, and Jean (Frank) Stickler; sisters-in-law, Jeanne McNamara and Alice McNamara.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter, Sylvia; brothers, Richard and Kenneth McNamara; sisters, Donna Flynn and Mary LeMay; and several brothers-in-law.

Rosary will begin at 9:30 AM and a visitation from 10-11 AM on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 with mass at 11 and a luncheon to immediately follow mass at Church of St. Rita, 8694 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, Minnesota 55016. Burial will take place at Cottage Grove cemetery following luncheon.
