showed amazing strength and courage battling brain cancer for the last six years. She was an inspiration to us all.

Maria Delia was born in Mercedes , Texas . Her early years were spent in Texas and Minnesota . She moved to St. Paul ’s West Side when she began school. She attended Humboldt High School , then the University of Minnesota . She will be remembered as a religious woman who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed music, singing and dancing.

Maria is the beloved mother of Vanessa Koprek (Peter Tveitbakk), Andrew (Tatiana) Frolund, Cynthia Frolund; grandma of Jonathan, Alexandra, Matthew, Gabriel; daughter of Guadalupe & Julia; sister of Thomas Perez, Dianna Jimenez, Julie Bennett, Ignacia Susanna Herrera;and the significant other of Jan Andreason. She is also survived by many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother Guadalupe Jr.

Funeral Service 2 PM Friday August 8 at KOK FUNERAL HOME, 7676 80 ^TH St. S. Cottage Grove (651-459-2875). Burial Cottage Grove Cemetery . Visitation 12-2 pm Friday at funeral home.
