Marie Theresa Mahoney (nee Tschida) Age 89 of St. Paul Park, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 25, 2006.



Marie was born on August 7, 1916 in Saint Paul, Minnesota the daughter of Boniface and Mary Tschida. Marie grew up in Duluth, Minnesota and earned her nursing degree through St. Mary's Hospital. Marie was united in marriage to James F. Mahoney on September 5, 1942 in Duluth. They relocated to St. Paul Park where they spent 56 years together before James passed away in 1998. Marie was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, loved to play cards, and thought that she was the luckiest person in the world because of her loving family and friends. Marie was very devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved to spend time with them.





Marie is survived by children Mary & David North of Woodbury, Kathleen & Arch McCord of Prior Lake, Patrick & Jan Mahoney of Waupaca, Wisconsin, Susan & John Honsky of Missoula, Montana, and Nancy & Jack Swanson of Roseau. Grandchildren Tricia North, Brian North, Terry (Jodi) McCord, Adam McCord, Christopher McCord, Erin Mahoney, Leah (Mark) Champoux, Jesse (Ben) Faller, Marla Honsky, Jeff (Angie) Swanson, and Willie Swanson; and great-grandchildren Zoe and Mila Champoux. Marie is also survived by many other relatives and lifelong friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church located at 920 Holley Avenue in St. Paul Park from 5-8 p.m. and also one hour prior to service. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
