Mark Allen Reiland

Mark “Riggs, Marky” Reiland died unexpectedly on August 23rd. At the age of 58.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Karen; children Zachary and Abigal; siblings, Barry (Julie), Sue (Jeff) Grosslein, and mother Carol. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold.

Mark was born on October 28th 1964, in Roseville, MN, to parents Harold and Carol Reiland. He graduated High School from Alexander Ramsey High School. He married his soulmate Karen in 1994; the two moved to Cottage Grove that July. The couple welcomed their first child, Zachary, in September of 1996 and their second child, Abigal, in October of 1999.

Mark was an accomplished handyman and always had a tool in his hand. He was a kind and helpful man who loved spending time on the river boating with family and friends and snowmobiling. He was passionate about his family and helping others. He will be best known for his ability to fix anything, his compassion, and his strength.

A funeral will be Thursday, August 31st at Saint Rita Catholic Church in Cottage Grove, MN, with visitation beginning at 10am, followed by service at 11am. Interment will be held at Saint Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in St. Paul Park following the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Mark.
