Mary Louise Lundin

Mary L. Lundin peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at White Pine Memory Care in Cottage Grove, Minnesota, at the age of 101.

Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched the lives of those around her throughout her remarkable 101 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Erik Lundin, and her grandchildren, Holly (Bobby) Yannarelly, Jason (Emily) Lundin, Dustin Mullinix, and Ryan Mullinix, as well as her six great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin Lundin; her daughter, Claire Mullinix; her brother, Jim Lange; and her sister, Ruth Henderix.

Mary graduated from Faribault High School and continued her education at Stout College in Menomonie, Wisconsin. On February 10, 1945, she married Marvin Lundin in Florida, beginning a marriage and life together that would span many years.

Mary dedicated much of her life to education. Her accomplishments included teaching Home Economics, working as a substitute teacher, and serving as a Homebound teacher. She had a love for learning, teaching, and helping others.

Outside of her work, Mary enjoyed many creative and meaningful hobbies, including painting, cooking, crocheting, and sewing. She was always finding something to create, make, or share, and her many interests were a reflection of her curious and creative spirit.

Mary's 101 years were filled with family, memories, learning, creativity, and the many simple moments that make a life meaningful. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th Street S., Cottage Grove, Minnesota 55016. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
