Mary Ann Moudry, age 81 of Woodbury, Minnesota died at home surrounded by her loving family on August 19, 2026.

Mary was born on February 7, 1945 to Albert and Marian (Kerker) Lauer in St. Paul, Minnesota. She grew up on a small farm with nine other siblings. She graduated from Derham Hall High School in Saint Paul and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from St. Teresa College in Winona, MN. Mary was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Francis “Ted” Moudry on July 22, 1967 at St. Therese Catholic Church in St. Paul, MN. The moved several times over the years while raising five children. Mary enjoyed teaching in the elementary schools and was always active in their local church.

Mary was a wonderful cook known for her famous sugar cookies, amazing pie crusts, and holiday meals. She truly was the “hostess with the mostest” who always made space at their table, making everyone feel welcome. She loved gardening, bible studies, playing bridge, cutting coupons, and organizing anything she could get her hands on. Mary will be remembered for her keen attention to detail, genuine honesty, unrelenting love for her family, and unwavering faith in Jesus.

Mary is survived by her husband of 59 years Ted Moudry; children Frank (Tara) Moudry, Leah Fabian, Bill (Matt Honaberger) Moudry, Rebecca (Tim Face) Moudry, and Ben (Nichole) Moudry; grandchildren Alex (Laura) Moudry, Sam (Allison) Moudry, Audrey Gonzalez, Richard Fabian, Jonah Taylor, Kathryn “Atlas” Fabian, Mary Moudry, Angela Taylor, Luke Moudry, Julia Moudry, and Emily Moudry; two great-grandchildren Todd Moudry and Miriam Moudry; siblings Joe (Anna) Lauer, Cathy (Jerry) Morzinski, Jane (Jim) Williams, Mike (Beatriz) Lauer, Ed (Cathy) Lauer, Marty (Anne) Lauer, Ruth Lauer, and Dorothy Lauer; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her infant daughter Mary Angela Moudry; parents Albert and Marian Lauer; brother Bill Lauer; sister-in-law Anne Lauer, and brother-in-law Steve England.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Hope Community Church, 8300 Hyde Ave. S.; Cottage Grove, MN with a visitation from 10 - 11 AM. All are invited to a luncheon at Tinucci's Restaurant, 396 21st Street; Newport, MN following the service. Private burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights, MN.
