Michaela "Micka" Andersen

Michaela “Micka” Kelley Andersen, age 49 of Newport passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2019.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am, Friday, August 2, 2019 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 920 Holley Ave., St. Paul Park with visitation starting at 9 am until the time of service.  A luncheon will be served following.  Burial at Union Cemetery, Maplewood.

Micka was born October 28, 1969 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Ralph and Martha McDonough.  She grew up in St. Paul, the youngest of 7 siblings and graduated from St. Paul Harding High School in 1987.  She attended the University of Minnesota for a few years before taking a position at Wells Fargo where she served as an administrative assistant in the mortgage department for nearly 25 years.

She loved all kinds of animals especially her dogs.  Micka enjoyed rock and roll music, going dancing and spending time with her beloved family.  She was married to Brian Andersen on July 17, 1993 and the couple finished building their home in Newport later that year.  She had a sweet, caring personality and was willing to do anything for others.

She is survived by her husband Brian; children Matthew, Jessie and Lauren; siblings Maura (Tom) Wallgren, Matthew (Jennifer) McDonough, Ellen Rose, Martin (Robyn) McDonough, Jocko (Linda) McDonough; father Ralph (Shirley) McDonough as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by mother Martha and sister Sheila.
