Michael “Mike” Aubin, age 60, of Cottage Grove, MN, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2021 after suffering an unexpected cardiac event. Preceded in death by parents, William and Gloria Aubin. He is survived by wife, Cheryl; daughters, Megan (Gus) Diaz and Melissa; brother, Gary (Lori); sister, Brenda; and beloved cat, Spook. Mike played football in high school in White Bear Lake and from there his love for watching sports began. He went on to Culinary School after graduation and continued to work in the hospitality business throughout his life. He started as a cook at the Hilton and went on to being a suite attendant at various venues throughout the Twin Cities. He enjoyed the variety of entertainment that he hosted and looked forward to watching the Wild play. Mike and Cheryl enjoyed being together with family and friends on the water with their Sea Ray boat and Jet Skis. Mike will be missed a great deal with his funny “dad” jokes. He was proud of his daughters; Megan, who was just married and Melissa, who recently purchased her 1st home. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and limitations no services will be held at this time but at a later date.
