Myrna Chasteen

surrounded by her loving family was reunited with her husband James, fifteen brothers and sisters, grandson James Allen Chasteen, Jr., and a great-grandchild . Myrna was the youngest of nineteen children. She was a strong woman of great faith, and served many at All Saints Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove . Her career began as a legal secretary for a law firm in Muscatine , Iowa . She married the love of her life, Janes H. Chasteen, and raised five children, moving to St. Paul Park , MN in 1961. Myrna was a talented artist, loved to dance, travel and take pictures to chronicle the meaningful times of her life. She loved animals, and trained several horses and dogs throughout her life, a talent that she passed on to her children. She is survived by two sisters, Phyllis (William) Marshall of Moline, Illinois; Edna Wooley of Westminster, CA; one brother William (Barb) Maisenbach of Buena Park, CA; step-children Deanna Chasteen of Eden Prairie, Dennis (Jenny) Chasteen of Aberdeen, SD; children Susan (Tom) Blaine of Ojai, CA, Jeanne (Earle) Almquist of Hastings and James (Roxanne) Chasteen of Cottage Grove; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Service 11 AM Friday at ALL SAINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 8100 Belden Blvd , Cottage Grove . Interment Fort Snelling . Visitation 4-8 PM Thursday and 10-11 AM Friday AT CHURCH.
